This is a poster design created for Country artist Aaron Tippin for promoter Pepper Entertainment.
Artists management supplied a press photo and logo. Unfortunately, the logo was too small and only suitable for web implementations.
I changed the resolution of the logo to 2400 dpi and then imported it into Illustrator. I was then able to use image trace to created a 3-color vector.
This was copied cleanly into my poster design, and I used the logo’s background as the dominant color scheme.
I isolated Aaron from the background on his press photo.
The next step was to create a high contrast element to use for the footer text. I created a stone texture and added the dark blue from Aaron’s logo as a multiply overlay.
Once the poster design was approved, the final step was resizing to various social media specs.
