Here is a collection of live recordings very dear to my heart, the Fatty Acid collection! This was a project that was active roughly from December 2000 until April 2002. The initial grouping consisted of myself, Nik Fields and Nicodemus Flores on guitars. We had trouble at first locking down a consistent person on the drumkit, but had early support from percussion players like Nicole Sims and Charlie Akins. Our debut concert happened at the Corner Café in Carrollton, GA on 12/16/2000 in the middle slot between Abilene Strip and Dysfunktion Junktion.
Our drummer prayers were finally answered in Pat Johnson. You can here him on the main part of this release which stems from a Mellow Mushroom show in Carrollton on 04/08/2002. By that point we also had Matthew Williams on keys and guitar, so this is peak Acid experience!
Also included are bonus tracks from the debut show on 12/16/2000 with Donald ? on drums, and 02/17/01 with Paul Warren on drums. Both of these happened at the Corner Café.
This project was a ton of fun and gave me a chance to jam with completely new folks. It was a pleasure to practice and perform with this group, and I still consider them all true friends to this day.
This fits between my experiences in Handpuppet (1998-1999) and Dysfunktion Junktion (2002-2003).
