Dysfunktion Junktion drummer Joey “LBC” Dye has compiled this very special collection of live cuts from 2001-2002 and it is presented here as LBC’s Picks volume 1.
Highlights are far and wide, but here are a few noteworthy ones. I remember doing the “get that light out of my face” gag at the end of Axilla and the light person thinking it was literally directed at them. LBC and Mike bring some heavy metal thunder to the Other One. There is some funny stage banter in the middle of the set. Later in the collection, you find hot renditions of the Meter’s Fire of the Bayou, and Neil Young’s Cortez the Killer. Both of these contain great guitar work from Brefmint and Panko. Finally, I get to channel my inner Roger Waters on the closing track Pigs (Three Different Ones).
