Stabercrombie Creative had a chance to combine fun and learn some new software techniques with the production of the Mad Collectors YouTube show.
The show features friend Aaron Ford on periodic deep dive into music releases. The first episode highlighted the Minutemen’s Double Nickels on the Dime.
A series of logos were mocked up and reviewed before settling on the font combo of Gastromond and Oswald paired with some Magritte-inspired Record Head graphics. I also created a neutral-toned collage of album covers to use as backgrounds for our call.
I found a pair of compositions that worked as an intro (Little Tough Guy) and outro (Busted Camaro) music and used these to compose sections in After Effects.
Finally, our Skype conversation was edited down from 40 minutes into a more digestible 28-minute block. I spent a week learning the basics of Premiere Pro and then used that to sequence the show and improve the audio.
