This one is from the archives, dating back to 2019. This poster was created for comedian Nate Bartgatze for promoter NS2.
I read in his press release that he was the son of a circus clown. So, I did image research and collected color palettes and elements from vintage circus posters.
I created a cutout of Nate and changed it to black and white for contrast against the brighter circus themes. Finally, a red stroke was added to Nate’s cutout and some eye color was returned to Nate’s image for some additional visual flavor.
