For the last three years, Stabercrombie Design has offered comprehensive design assets for the South Dakota Cattleman’s Foundation Concert. This year’s concert features country artists Jordan Davis and Scott McCreery.
We worked through a series of design variations to satisfy the needs of the promoter, artist management, and event sponsors.
In the beginning, I tried a lot of bright variations to make the design stand out, but in the end, the design essentially designed itself with obvious and brand-appropriate choices.
The typeface chosen was Bourbon. This country-themed font suited the event and artists well and had good readability at all scales.
Next up, a set of leather textures was chosen to indicate the general look associated with the Cattleman’s foundation. A brown, grey, and yellow color scheme evoked the location of South Dakota, and the design was approved!
We then produced over 25 custom venue graphics for the Denny Sanford Premier Center. These ranged from a host of print needs to specialized digital ribbon LED’S
Finally, a 4K TV spot was produced for airplay in South Dakota.
